Mỹ Lệ (mee-lay) Goel is the CEO and founder of Moxey Group, a startup focused on using technology to improve health and well-being for people today and as we age. Her first product, Flight, is the first ever live, interactive, on-demand mobile fitness app that connects clients with real live personal fitness trainers and yoga instructors to exercise and stay fit whenever and wherever is convenient whether it’s in your home, hotel or AirBnB.
Her journey has been a long one filled with bouts of stress, fatigue and sub-optimal physical health and her career has taken many twists and turns so, it’s no surprise she’s pursuing health and wellness now.
Previously, she worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a global strategic PR and communications firm (Weber Shandwick) and the Smithsonian Institution. Her 20-year career in social impact work has taken her all over the world including the mountains of Peru, the coffee fields of Nicaragua, the farmlands of Honduras and the public hospitals and clinics of South Africa, Uganda and Mozambique.
She led the launch of an award-winning national awareness campaign for the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (CPB) as a vice president on the Social Impact team at Weber Shandwick, and her early career was spent in a lab researching ancient climate change at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.
Mỹ Lệ received her undergraduate degree in geosciences from Smith College and graduate degree in technology, innovation and education (TIE) from Harvard University.
